As well as loving yoga, Suzi is a Mental Health Nurse, a mum of 2 beautiful kids, avid gardener and surfer. In her daily work she sees the detrimental effects of lifestyle choices, life events and everyday stress on people mentally, emotionally and physically. Teaching yoga offers an empowering opportunity to expand on ways to help people strengthen, heal and grow. It is a holistic approach that has personally helped Suzi many times. Yoga allows her glimpses of that still, silent place within, teaching this precious practice is a privilege, unexpected and cherished.
Having practiced yoga over the last 20 years, Suzi has explored many kinds: Hatha, Ashtanga, Bikram, Kundalini and Yin. Each offering a multitude of insights and wisdom. Teacher training was a way to explore yoga more deeply, and following this Suzi felt compelled to share this practice with her family, friends and community.
There is so much to learn, and Suzi is excited to be walking on this path. Her curiosity about yoga has only increased as she continues to explore and learn. Most recently studying anatomy, Yin and Hatha with Mysan, Yin and Yang Yoga and mindfulness with Sarah Powers, Yin with Tara Fitzgibbon, Level 1 teacher training with Byron Yoga Centre, and Remedial Yoga with Maria Kirsten.
Teaching is such a privilege, one Suzi is grateful for every day. She looks forward to sharing this beautiful space at The Sanctuary, and this powerfully healing practice.
